Terms and Conditions

The Terms and Conditions set out an agreement between 'you' the owner and 'Home Boarding'.

  • Signing of a Booking Form will confirm the owner/s acceptance of the Terms and Conditions and their desire to progress with a Booking.

  • Bookings are not confirmed until the Booking Form has been received within 5 days of the initial meeting.

  • Balance of invoice to be paid on day that board begins.

  • You agree to provide full and detailed information in the Booking Form about your dog/s behaviour. If we experience difficulties to cope with your dog/s due to failure of disclosing any qualities or characteristics, we will call upon your emergency contact to retrieve your dog. If this fails we reserve the right to keep your dog/s in a separate room until your return or to be transferred to a kennel under the Dog Wardens advice.  Fee's apply-see section 15.

  • During your continued use of Home Boarding services you agree to keep us informed of any changes to your dog/s Booking Form.

  • You are fully aware that your dog/s will be boarding with our resident dogs and possibly other boarding dogs. You were satisfied with the initial meeting.

  • The emergency contact must be aware of their role, duties and responsibilities and be available for the duration of the board.

  • You are aware that a late fee of £10.00 is applied for every hour overdue for collection. Payment to be paid on return. Drop off and collection times are between 10am and 6pm.

  • All dogs must be up to date with their vaccinations, kennel cough, worming, tick and flea treatments. You must provide Home Boarding with the vaccination booklet at the start of each board. You further agree to deliver your dog in a healthy, clean condition.

  • In the event of any emergency if Home Boarding is unable to proceed with the board we will endeavour to transfer the board to another carer in our home. We reserve the right at our discretion to cancel the booking and refund your deposit without any liability to Home Boarding.

  • We are unable to accept any dogs that come under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991. These are: Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, Fila Brasileiro. Nor can we accept any dog hybrids registered under the Dangerous Wild Animal Act 1976. For example: Wolf Hybrids. After taking advice from certain authorities we cannot accept Staffordshire Bull Terriers due to having resident dogs.

  • We are unable to accept unspayed or entire males in accordance with the Licensing conditions due to having resident dogs.

  • If you are supplying your own dog food, you agree to provide enough for the duration of your dog's board. If insufficient food is supplied at the start of the board you agree to refund the costs of buying in any special dietary food or to pay for our own dog food, Bakers Dry at a cost of £1.00 per day per dog.

  • If your dog causes damage to our home, other than reasonable tear and wear, you agree to reimburse any reasonable cost incurred by ourselves in this event.

  • If your dog is aggressive or bites during its board, we will call upon your emergency contact to retrieve your dog. If this fails, your dog could be moved to a kennel and a transfer fee of £30.00 will be payable by yourself upon your return. There will be no refund of the boarding fees you have paid to Home Boarding and any additional fees charged by the kennels will be payable by you.

  • Home Boarding will use all care to ensure the happiness, safety and welfare of your dog/s. We will make all reasonable efforts to contact the owner in the event of an emergency. If your dog becomes unwell or has an accident during his board we reserve the right to take him/her to a Veterinary Surgery and you agree to be responsible for payment of veterinary fees incurred upon your return. We do recommend that your dog is insured against sickness, accident, injury and third party liability prior to the start of the board. The booking form gives Home Boarding authorisation to take your dog/s to the Vet's if necessary, whilst also confirming you will pay the Veterinary Surgery directly.

  • If you instruct us to exercise your dog off lead you will accept responsibility for third party liability and agree that your dog/s is insured (including third party liability cover). In the event of your dog not being insured at the start of the board we reserve the right to exercise your dog on a lead.

  • You are aware that we exercise your dog/s at Bagworth Heath, a short drive away.

  • If you collect your dog before the confirmed end date of the board you will not receive a refund.

  • Although we make every effort to ensure your dog/s is cared for to our usual high standards we cannot be liable for loss, injury or death. Boarding is entirely at the owners risk.
